Wealthy Affiliate

I am so amazed that I have become a Wealthy Affiliate member.  I have been hearing about Internet Marketing for years, and avoiding it because it sends images of scams and horrors in my mind – recently I came across some information, that forced me to look into it with an objective mind. According to the Census Bureau of the Department of Commerce E-Commerce Sales for 2007 reached $ 136.4 billion. This is some serious money. Frankly speaking I would like a bit of it.

Entry into this world can be done through a number of ways. Either you sell a product, for that you need to have one. But what if you don’t ? Well then you sell one for someone who has a product !  Why ? Well, thats how you get into the loop – and they call you an Affiliate. For which believe me you can earn some pretty good cash. Or better still you could become a Wealthy Affiliate.

Wealthy Affiliate vs. Affiliates – the differnce – TRAINING. You want to make money, right – not loose it. And believe me the Internet is one big vicious jungle. You could get ripped of by many scams.

5 Myths about Internet Marketing:

1. You need money to make money – Big Myth ! The truth is that there are a lot of free marketing techniques. You can start with these – make a pile, and then use that money for paid techniques, if you want !
2. Online spending is not growing – people will finally quit spening money on the Internet. Big Myth ! In 2007 during the Holiday Season $ 29.5 BILLION Dollars was spent. The Yearly Growth is 21% and will continue growing……..
3. If you do not live in the U.S you will not succeed. Big myth ! Search Engines are so sharp that you can target a country from anywhere on the globe.
4. Traffic equals success – if I get a website and pay Google to send me traffice, I will be a success. Big Myth ! Traffic is good, but you need to make the traffic into CUSTOMERS to earn the cash.
5. Money grows on trees – I’ll just laze about and money will fall on my lap. Big Myth ! But if you work at it, you could have your own money tree.

Week 1 :  Right now I am in here. There is not much technical stuff to learn, it’s mostly about getting to know the university and 5000 plus people here via the ‘Forum’ and their ‘Spaces’. There are over 115, 110 posts – Yikes, who can read that, but very interesting. People are sharing about how much money they made. Many share how they made it.
